TRIN, Definition

The name TRIN is derived from Trading Index, also known as the Arms Index , is a market indicator that compares the ratio of advancing to declining issues with the ratio of advancing to declining volume on a continuous basis. TRIN is a popular means of gauging market sentiment and psychology.
