Upside Downside Ratio
Posted By: TradersLog
The Upside/Downside Ratio function measures the ratio of the volumes of advancing to declining issues on the New York Stock Exchange. This indicator illustrates the momentum of the market: values are greater than 1.0 when more volume is associated with stocks that are increasing in price than those declining. Values of less than 1.0 are when greater volume is in stocks who’s prices are declining.
