Marubozu Japanese Candlestick, Definition
On a Japanese Candlestick chart, a candlestick with no shadow or wick extending from the body at either the open, the close or at both. Also known as a shaven or bald candlestick.
The White Marubozu has a long white body with no shadow/wick. The open price is equal to the low and the close is equal to the high. This reflects a very bullish period.
The Black Marubozu has a long black body and no shadow/wick. The open is the high and the close is the low. This reflects that the bears are in control.
