The Group of Eight or G-8 is a forum for governments of eight northern hemisphere countries: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The G-20 (the Group of Twenty) is a group of finance ministers and central bank governors from 20 economies. The group is made up of 19 of the world’s largest national economies, along with the European Union (EU).
