While consensus opinion looks for the U. S. Dollar Index to continue trading much lower, Kenison Counting Numbers are now projecting that a major multi-year bottom for the buck is at hand.
By applying the counting numbers sequence to the monthly chart, a powerful three month reversal zone centered on the month of October 2007 is being projected. The Dollar Index has now dropped below the August monthly low in September, indicating that the Dollar Index has committed itself to an important bottom which will occur in September, October or November 2007.
By applying the counting numbers sequence to the weekly charts, we see that the first potentially powerful three week reversal zone contained within the three month reversal zone mentioned above is centered on the week of October 1, 2007. The market has now dropped into this reversal zone also.
Confirmation of a bottom would occur if the market now trades above a previous week during this three week reversal zone. This would trigger an explosive rally phase with bearish implications for worldwide stock markets, grains, gold and the Euro FX.
We will be correspondingly applying the counting numbers sequence to daily and 60 minute charts to determine the three day and three hour reversal zones contained within this three week reversal zone.
