Federal prosecutors yesterday charged Robert Trosten - the onetime financial wunderkind at Refco - with being a key player in the long-running fraud that wrecked the commodities giant.
Trosten, 37, was charged with three counts: conspiracy to defraud, securities fraud and wire fraud.
Prosecutors folded the charges against Trosten into the existing indictment of ex-Chief Executive Phillip Bennett.
