Dark Cloud Cover

Posted By: TradersLog

On a Japanese Candlestick chart, Dark Cloud Cover is a bearish reversal pattern consisting of a black candlestick that follows a long bodied white candlestick during an uptrend. The large black candle casts a dark cloud over the preceding bullish trend. The black candlestick opens at a new high and closes below the midpoint of the body of the preceding long bodied white candlestick. Dark Cloud Cover is the opposite of the Bullish Piercing Line Candlestick Pattern.
