Glossary of Terms>A>Ascending Triangle

A variation of the Symmetrical Triangle, the Ascending Triangle is a sideways price pattern between two converging trendlines in which the lower line has an upward slant while the top part of the triangle is flat. Generally considered a bullish pattern most reliable when found in an uptrend.
